LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore organised orientation programmes for newly-admitted students of various undergraduate degree classes here on Monday at the City Campus Lahore and Ravi Campus Pattoki.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha presided over the orientation programme at Ravi Campus Pattoki while Prof Dr Anjum Khalique, Prof Dr Muhammad Ashraf and a large number of newly-admitted students and faculty members were attended. In his address, he congratulated the students on their admissions and mentioned the facilities of well-equipped classrooms, labs, hostels, research facilities etc, He said that UVAS always promotes its students extra-curricular and co-curricular activities in the university.
Another orientation programme also held in City Campus Lahore. In which Dean Faculty of Bio-sciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Prof Dr Arif Khan, UVAS Senior Tutor Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf, Dr Awais Umar, Dr Hassan Saleem and a large number of newly-admitted students with their parents and faculty members were attended.
Prof Dr Arif Khan and Dr Awais Umar spoke on the occasion and talked about the rules and regulations of the university. Prof Dr Kamran Ashraf described about role of student societies and extra-curricular activities. He also said it is a memorable occasion for the new students and UVAS will provide them a conducive intellectual environment of learning and train them for practical life.
