UAF opens admissions for 50 short courses to boost professional skills

FAISALABAD: The University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) has announced admissions for 50 short courses aimed at enhancing technical and professional skills across multiple disciplines.

According to a university spokesperson, the short courses cover a wide range of fields including spoken English, computer skills, clinical biochemistry, livestock management, poultry health, plant protection, home baking, andmushroom cultivation, among others. Many courses are specially tailored for women, such as drawing, stitching & dyeing, and fruit & vegetable preservation.

Key technical offerings include farm machinery maintenance, seed testing methods, soil remediation, CAD/CAM tools, and water quality for agriculture. Specialized trainings like veterinary first aid, taxidermy of birds, andkitchen gardening are also available.

The courses are open to professionals, students, and individuals seeking skill enhancement, and are being offered at nominal fees. Admissions will be granted strictly on a first-come, first-served basis.

Interested candidates can visit the Professional Training & Skill Development (PTSD) Center at UAF for further details and application submission.

These short courses are part of UAF’s ongoing efforts to equip youth and professionals with industry-relevant skills and practical knowledge, contributing to economic growth and rural development.
