BAHAWALPUR: Experts at a seminar recently held in Bahawalpur highlighted the critical role of technology in regenerative cotton fields to boost the agro-economy of the region.
Attended by agricultural scientists, experts, academicians, businessmen, and farmers, including Dr. Wajid Jatoi from Islamia University Bahawalpur, Dr. Masood Saleem from the Agriculture Department of Punjab, and Chaudhary Waheed Arshad from the Cotton Ginners Association, the seminar focused on using modern agricultural technology to achieve record yields of cotton.
Speakers at the seminar underscored the importance of adopting modern agro-machinery and innovative technologies to enhance productivity in Bahawalpur’s cotton fields, historically known for their substantial contributions to the local textile industry.
They urged cotton growers to prioritize quality seed selection and emphasized the transformative impact of technological advancements in agriculture.
