LAHORE: The Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) has announced that Abdul Basit as the association’s chairman for a two-year term.
The announcement was made at the association’s annual meeting, which was attended by around 300 members. PPA Southern Zone Chairman Lal Bakhsh Kolachi was unable to attend the meeting for being abroad.
The meeting concluded with a formal dinner and a ceremony in which shields were presented to executive members in recognition of their contributions.
The meeting was addressed by Dr Hassan Sarosh, Akram Raza, Mahmood Khursand, and Rana Sajjad Arshad, discussing the challenges facing the poultry industry as well as future goals.
In his address, Chaudhry Ashraf mentioned his accomplishments during his previous tenure, sharing that he had made 77 trips between Karachi and Islamabad to attend meetings and worked tirelessly to serve the poultry sector.
Group leader Dr F.M. Sabir also praised Chaudhry Ashraf and his team for their dedication and efforts. Khalid Saleem’s quiet but impactful contributions to the association were also appreciated.
Under the new leadership, the PPA is poised to continue advancing the poultry industry in the country.
