LAHORE: A breast cancer awareness walk and seminar under the theme “Together We Can Defeat Breast Cancer” were recently organised by the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore city campus, in collaboration with the Pink Ribbon Organization, King Edward Medical University, and Mayo Cancer Care Hospital.
The walk was led by Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science. The participants also included Prof. Dr. Kamran Ashraf, Chairman of the Department of Parasitology, and Dr. Jaweria Ali Khan, along with a large number of students and faculty members.
During the seminar, speakers highlighted key aspects of breast cancer, including awareness, prevention, diagnosis, management, and treatment options.
The event aimed to educate students, faculty, and the public, particularly women, on early detection, treatment approaches, and effective patient care.
