BUCHAREST: The 11th International Conference Black Sea Oil Trade 2025 is set to take place on September 23, 2025, at the InterContinental Athénée Palace Hotel in Bucharest, Romania, bringing together more than 300 delegates from over 25 countries.
Recognized as a key market event at the start of the oilseed season, the conference will convene leading producers, crushers, traders, processors, investment firms, shipping and logistics operators, and financial institutions from across the Black Sea, Danube, Eastern Europe, and Balkan regions. Participants will explore how to strengthen oilseed and vegetable oil supply chains to meet the demands of global food markets.
This year’s theme, “Oilseed Markets Between Risk & Recovery,” reflects the industry’s ongoing challenges, including trade disruptions, weather volatility, and policy shifts, alongside new opportunities emerging from investment, value-added production, and logistics development.
The agenda will address some of the most pressing issues shaping the sector:
- Trade tensions and tariffs reshaping agricultural export routes.
- The Black Sea region’s ability to retain leadership in supplying oilseeds, vegoils, and meals to the EU in 2025–26.
- Investment flows into processing and crushing capacities.
- The growing role of Constanța port and Danube river routes in sunflower and oilseed trade.
- Climate risks transforming agricultural output and regional export balances.
Organizers emphasize that the event will not only deliver exclusive forecasts and market insights but also provide valuable opportunities for networking with industry leaders. With global oilseed trade navigating between risks and recovery, the Black Sea Oil Trade 2025 is expected to set the tone for the new season, offering participants a competitive edge in an increasingly complex market.
