Quality Poultry Breeders celebrates nearly three decades of collaboration with Aviagen, reinforcing its role as a top supplier of high-quality Parent Stock in Pakistan’s growing poultry sector.
BANGKOK, THAILAND: Quality Poultry Breeders (QPB), one of Pakistan’s leading suppliers of high-quality Parent Stock, has achieved a major milestone with the arrival of its 60th placement of Arbor Acres® Grandparent Stock. This marks nearly three decades of successful collaboration between QPB and Aviagen®, a global leader in poultry genetics.
QPB’s partnership with Arbor Acres began in 1996, when the company placed its first flock of 5,000 Grandparent breeders. Since then, QPB has grown into a trusted supplier in the poultry sector, producing over 3 million Breeder chicks annually for hatcheries and integrators across Pakistan. The company’s continued success is fueled by the growing demand for chicken as a primary protein source and positive economic outlook in Pakistan, supported by a young, dynamic population.
In response to increasing demand, QPB recently commissioned its fifth company-owned Grandparent farm, which strengthens the domestic supply of high-health, high-performance Arbor Acres Parent Stock. This expansion ensures QPB can continue to meet the growing needs of the country’s poultry industry, offering the highest quality chicks to meet the sector’s evolving requirements.
During a recent visit to Aviagen’s Bangkok office, QPB’s leadership, including Dr. Mohammed Amjad (CEO), Dr. Akram Sarosh (Managing Director), and Mr. Jahanzaib Amjad (Director of Operations), commemorated the signing of a new Grandparent supply agreement between the two organizations. This agreement further strengthens their longstanding partnership and solidifies QPB’s role as a leader in Pakistan’s poultry industry.
Jahanzaib Amjad, Director of Operations at QPB, expressed his pride in the company’s long-term collaboration with Aviagen, stating, “Arbor Acres remains the breed of choice in Pakistan. We are proud to build on our nearly 30-year relationship with Aviagen to ensure QPB continues supplying industry-leading Parent Stock chicks that deliver the performance and quality our market demands.”
DeWet Nortje, Business Manager at Aviagen APAC, emphasized the importance of sustainability and animal welfare in the development of Arbor Acres stock. “The strength of Arbor Acres comes from the focus on sustainability and welfare that our development team puts into every bird,” he said. “We are pleased that this commitment, supported by our field teams of specialists and experts, continues to deliver added value to our clients in Pakistan.”
This achievement is a reflection of QPB’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of poultry genetics in Pakistan, supporting the country’s poultry sector with high-performance genetic material that ensures the continued growth of the industry.
