Livestock Development Board launches state-of-the-art video conferencing system

LAHORE: Livestock and Dairy Development Department, Punjab has become the first public sector department in Punjab province to launch state of the art video conferencing system. 

 An inauguration ceremony was held in this regard where provincial minister Saradar Shahab U Din formally inaugurated the system. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Minister Livestock, Sardar Shahab u Din Seehar said that, Livestock & Dairy Development Department takes pride to be the first amongst other public sector departments to launch this state of the art video conferencing system in all district, division and administration level to ensure online connectivity for an efficient monitoring and performance system.

He said that by the implementation of this system, majority of meetings will be held online and all the officers will be available for meeting within no time and will focus on service delivery to farmers in true spirit.

Adopting this system, officers need not to travel long distances to attend meetings in provincial headquarters. It will also be helpful in case of any unforeseen situations like any epidemic, environmental or other circumstances. Hence this system will prove eco-friendly and livestock department will save Rs 900 million annually spent on travelling and maintenance of official vehicles

Minister livestock, directed all supervisory officers to focus on service delivery which will ultimately lead to production enhancement and sustainable livelihood of livestock farmers. Speaking on this occasion, Secretary Livestock Punjab, Muhammad Malik Bhulla stated that, efforts of directorate of planning are commendable in departmental digitalization.

All the Additional and Deputy Secretaries, Director Generals and other officers also participated in inauguration ceremony.
