UVAS Signed the Agreement for Establishment of Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) Network in Pakistan

LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore participated in the signing ceremony for the establishment of Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) Network in Pakistan. The ceremony was jointly organized by Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Intellectual Property Organization (IPO), Pakistan. More than 20 universities from all over Pakistan attended the ceremony and signed the agreement.

Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Muhammad Baleegh ur Rehman, presides over the signing ceremony as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Baleegh ur Rehman emphasized the importance of quality education and protection of the innovative ideas and product development. He also said that the TISC will provide the innovators in developing countries with access to locally based, high quality technology information and related services, helping them to exploit their innovation potential and to create, protect and manage their intellectual property (IP) rights.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha (S.) signed the agreement while Director ORIC Dr Hafsa Zenab and Focal Person (TISC) Dr Muhammad Adnan Aslam were also present on the occasion.
