Jhang: In the time being, when the whole world is struck with a deadly virus, with people being in sheer anxiety and when chaos is in order, IVSA-International Veterinary Students’ Association provides a platform for veterinary students to polish their skills and talents and come up as enriched personnel of society. Under the head of IVSA, its local chapter IVSA Jhang organised an ‘All Pakistan Online Drawing Contest 2020’ on the topic of ‘CORONA Awareness.’ Deadline for submitting work was 5th May 2020.
Along with the veterinary students, artists from non-vet institutes joined in enthusiastically in the contest. There were 100+ artists from 24 institutes of the country. All participants submitted their artworks, depicting the importance of prevailing COVID-19.

Artworks were judged by Associate Professor UVAS Jhang, Dr Syed Ihtisham- ul-Haq, Mr Muhammad Bakhsh, Mr Imran Ullah Gondal and Ms Amna Shahid. IVSA Pakistan also helped in the final selection.
Ms Hira Mehmood from Nishtar Medical University (NMU) secured first place in the drawing contest, second place was secured by Ms Fabarah Israr from Islamia University Bahawalpur (IUB), third place was secured by Ms Asima Yasin from CVAS Jhang, forth position was Mr Irfan Iqbal from UVAS and fifth position was secured by Ms Momina Ahsan from University of Agriculture, Faisalabad in the contest. Certificates of appreciation were awarded to the winners and participants via an online portal.
