LAHORE: Due to recent fluctuations in the poultry rates, the chicken prices in Lahore have decreased by Rs7 per kilogram, bringing the current rate to Rs555 per kg.
The wholesale price of broiler chicken is now Rs369 per kilogram, while the retail price is Rs383 per kilogram. Despite the decline in chicken prices, the cost of farm eggs remains steady at Rs301 per dozen.
Meanwhile, the vegetable market is also experiencing significant price variations. Onions are now priced at Rs145 per kilogram, potatoes at Rs85, and tomatoes at Rs115.
Similarly, green chilies are listed at Rs80 per kilogram, while ginger remains high at Rs580 per kilogram. Local garlic is priced at Rs380 per kilogram, and farm cucumbers are available for Rs100 per kilogram.
