Governor Punjab appoints Prof Saima and Prof Rana Muhammad Ayyub as Deans of UVAS

LAHORE: Governor Punjab and Chancellor of the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS), Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, has appointed Prof Dr Saima as the Dean of the Faculty of Animal Production and Technology (FAPT) and Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub, Chairman Department of Economics & Business Management, as the Dean of the Faculty of Life Sciences Business Management (FLSBM). Both appointments are for a three-year term.

UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Muhammad Younus (DLA.I, T.I.) extended his congratulations to the newly appointed deans, acknowledging their academic achievements and leadership in higher education. He praised their commitment and expertise, emphasizing that their contributions would play a vital role in advancing the university’s mission.

Prof Dr Saima made history at UVAS as the first female professor to be appointed dean, and this marks her second tenure in the prestigious position. She is recognized for her extensive experience in animal production, research, and teaching excellence.

Prof Dr Rana Muhammad Ayyub, a distinguished scholar in economics and business management, is widely respected for his academic leadership and research in the field. His appointment is seen as a strategic step toward strengthening UVAS’s role in life sciences business education and management.

With these appointments, UVAS reaffirms its dedication to fostering academic excellence, research innovation, and leadership development in the veterinary and life sciences sectors of Pakistan.
