UNIVERSITY PARK: Two important conferences — the Pennsylvania Poultry Sales and Service Conference and the 96th Annual Northeastern Conference on Avian Diseases – will be hosted by Penn State Extension on Sept 18-19.
The moots, to be held at the Penn Stater Hotel and Conference Center in State College, will be held from 8am to 5pm on September 18 and from 8am to noon on September 19, have been designed for poultry producers, industry professionals, organizations, and avian health experts. At these conferences known experts will speak on the key issues, including industry trends, diseases, management practices, and policy changes.
Breakout sessions at these moots will focus on broilers, layers, and turkeys.
Meanwhile, the participants will be provided networking opportunities with Penn State poultry science club students exploring internship and employment prospects at an evening social hour, beginning at 5:30pm. on September 18.
American Registry of Professional Animal Scientists members can earn up to 10 continuing education credits—one credit per hour of participation.
Registrations are being offered for the full conference or single-day admission, while th fees are $250 for both days, $150 for September 18 only, and $100 for September 19 only. Early registration by 11:45 pm on Wednesday is encouraged.
