AVN Report
LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) requested responses from the relevant parties by August 16 regarding a petition that calls for the legal regulation of chicken prices.
The petition, filed by the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA), argues that the Punjab government’s current method for setting chicken prices is unlawful. The PPA has asked the court to instruct the government to adhere to established rules and regulations for determining chicken prices. Additionally, the PPA has requested that the court mandate the creation of a price-setting mechanism developed in consultation with both the PPA and traders.
After a detailed hearing of the petitioner’s arguments, the court issued notices to the respondents and requested their replies by the next hearing.
