BAHAWALPUR: Punjab Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Saho announced that 62 facility centers will be established in the cotton belt region of the province to provide guidance and assistance to cotton growers.
Addressing a meeting of senior officials of the department, Mr Saho emphasized the government’s focus on the cotton sector to boost the agro-economy.
“The government is going to establish 62 facility centers in the cotton belt region to facilitate cotton growers,” he said.
He explained that these centers would provide cotton growers with access to standard pesticide sprays, agricultural machinery, and other facilities at reasonable rates.
The secretary urged agricultural scientists and researchers to prioritize the cotton sector to control pests and achieve a record yield of cotton for the province.
