ISLAMABAD: Tetra Pak reaffirmed its commitment to packaging circularity at EuroVillage 2024, hosted by the European Union in Islamabad, spotlighting its ongoing efforts towards shaping a sustainable future.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including the Ambassador and Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Pakistan, Dr. Riina Kionka, who visited the Tetra Pak booth and engaged with company representatives.
Dr. Kionka lauded Tetra Pak for its innovative approach to repurposing used cartons and advocating for packaging circularity to promote environmental sustainability in Pakistan.
Tetra Pak Pakistan also emphasized its local partnership with Green Earth Recycling, which has been consistently increasing its recycling targets since 2014. Green Earth Recycling collects and recycles packaging waste, transforming it into marketable products such as garden furniture, school desks, roofing solutions, and more.
Speaking at the event, Noor Aftab, Head of Public Affairs and Government Relations at Tetra Pak Pakistan, expressed pride in showcasing their initiatives for packaging circularity at EuroVillage 2024. Aftab emphasized Tetra Pak’s commitment to elevating recycling targets and converting packaging waste into valuable resources through collaboration with Green Earth Recycling. -PR
