DUBAI: In a significant development, the US Soybean Export Council (USSEC) and the Pakistan Poultry Association (PPA) have formalised a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in Dubai, UAE, paving the way for mutual collaboration to propel Pakistan’s poultry industry toward accelerated growth and development.
Stan Born, Chairman of USSEC, expressed optimism about the future collaboration, stating, “Across the globe, USSEC continues to build relationships with key stakeholders in the soybean value chain. Collaborative efforts like the MoU between USSEC and the PPA will steer us in achieving our collective goal of food and nutrition security. I am positive that this MoU is only the beginning. Together we can nourish and build a more resilient, food-secure Pakistan.”
He said the poultry industry in Pakistan has long been a significant consumer of US Soy, with soybean meal serving as a crucial ingredient in poultry feed. The high-quality and nutritional profile of US soy have played a pivotal role in the remarkable growth of Pakistan’s poultry sector. The inherent high protein content, elevated energy levels, and ease of digestibility in US soybeans have resulted in higher yields and optimal performance for the country’s poultry industry.
Chaudhry Muhammad Ashraf, Chairman of PPA, acknowledged the positive impact that the partnership between USSEC and PPA could have on Pakistan’s poultry industry. He emphasised PPA’s commitment to providing customers with the best quality ingredients.
Ashraf expressed confidence that with the continuous supply of US soy, Pakistan’s poultry industry will prosper. PPA looks forward to the sustained support of US soy in educating its association members about the appropriate use of soybean meal in poultry feed, contributing to the continuous growth of Pakistan’s poultry industry.
