LAHORE: A solidarity walk to support the people of occupied Kashmir and condemn the ongoing Indian occupation and alleged atrocities in the valley was organized by the Character Building Society and Senior Tutor Office at the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore.
Led by UVAS Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Science, Prof. Dr. Aneela Zameer Durrani, the walk included Senior Tutor Prof. Dr. Yasin Tipu, Prof. Dr. Haroon Akbar, Director of Students Affairs Dr. Muhammad Asad Ali, Dr. Sarwar Siddique, along with students, faculty, and staff. Participants held placards and chanted slogans in support of Kashmiris, marching from the Vice-Chancellor’s office to the UVAS main lawn after circling the City Campus. Similar events were held across all UVAS campuses.
In a related initiative, the UVAS Department of Environmental Sciences, Senior Tutor Office, and Green Youth Movement Club, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission, organised a workshop on “Kitchen Gardening Techniques to Grow Vegetables at Home” at the City Campus.
Experts provided hands-on training, encouraging sustainable gardening practices.
