LAHORE: The University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Malakand (UOM) to promote cooperation in education and research.
The MoU was signed by UVAS Vice-Chancellor Meritorious Prof Dr Talat Naseer Pasha and UOM Vice-Chancellor Dr Gull Zaman here in UVAS City Campus Lahore.
Under the MoU, the UVAS and UOM will exchange faculty members, scholar & staff, researchers/scientists for lectures and short term visits; undergraduate and post graduate students for scientific research. They will also cooperate and jointly conduct research projects, conferences, seminar and workshops etc.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor Dr Talat Naseer Pasha briefed the UOM VC on UVAS history, campuses, academic and research & development projects, clinical & diagnostic facilities and national and international collaborations. He said that the university is working very closely with the livestock, poultry and allied industries and playing an active role in the development of the livestock sector in Pakistan.
Dean Faculty of Biosciences Prof Dr Habib-ur-Rehman, Director External Linkages Dr Imtiaz Rabbani and Dr Shoaib Sarwar were also present on the occasion.
